Advice4me financial planning appointment checklist
“No one has ever achieved financial fitness with a January resolution that’s abandoned by February.” ― Suze Orman
What is your objective?
Save more, invest more wisely, insure your income, improve your loan position or simply get your financial life under control?
What is your position now?
Don't worry - confidentiality is important to us all. And remember, we're not out to compare you with anyone. To make sure our help is best focused on you, we'll need to understand what assets and income are available to help you get to where you want to be? What are you prepared to spend or do to achieve the future you want? An example of our Client Data Form is included in the linked title above.
What is this going to cost?
We won't know until we know what you want us to do. Our business is not a 'sausage machine' that flogs products you don't need. We offer a genuinely personal, tailored experience with a real human being. We'll not incur costs without your approval, so you are always in control of fees and costs.
What's the process?
To make an appropriate recommendation, we will need to assess your situation and objectives, identify possible options and establish which is appropriate for you. The process that is followed can be seen in file linked to the "What's the process?" title above.
But what about...
Fees? Costs? Confidentiality? Bias? Hidden agendas and other foolishness. Financial planning is an intimately personal experience. You are sharing details not known by most of your family or friends. Make a full list of every concern, and work them through with your advisor, point-by-point.
